Mise En Scene

Mise En Scene is very important in media. It is anything that is in the frame of a picture or video etc. Mise En Scene works with stereotypes to build up an understanding in the audiences head of what the producer of the text they are consuming means, and what they are trying to make them understand. I.E having massive guitar amps, guitars and picks lying around would make the reader of the text understand that the creator of the text is trying to represent some sort of music. When using mise en scene we had to be very careful in what was in the shot, and engineered the images to look in a certain way, give a certain feel and represent a social group. The term "Mise-en-scene" was developed in theater to create a scene and make the audience believe in the scene they are watching. "Mise-en-scene literally means "put into the scene". For example, to create a dreary, scary scene you might have old damaged buildings in the background, crows (Omens of death), perhaps some grave stones (Depending on the scene) and this all adds to create the mise-en-scene. Every scene you see on the tv, soap operas to full length films include the use of mise-en-scene. This is what creats the scene and helps you understand whats going on. When you watch a show on the tv, and understand and believe somthing, you are conforming to the mise-en-scene.

Instruments:
A major part of the mise-en-scene is the instruments a band use. Audiences may feel a lot more connected to a band if they have a particular instrument, or use a particular brand of instrument. The equipment the band, Stentorian use is:
